Operation of the spray gun

2022-01-04

During the spraying operation, improper operation of the spray gun will affect the spraying effect of the product. A good spraying effect is shown in: 1. The coating is evenly distributed. 2. The coating should not be too thick or too thin. Several problems to be paid attention to when spraying:

The distance between the nozzle outlet and the coated object is called the gun distance. The smaller the gun distance, the greater the spraying pressure and the greater the impact of the air pressure on the product. The coating will appear uneven and cause the problem of over-spreading. The larger the gun distance, the smaller the spraying pressure, and the paint is easy to lose, so that the part of the coated object is sprayed too little and the paint cannot reach the specified thickness. The spraying fan surface is perpendicular to the surface of the object to be coated. When manually operating the spray gun, the spraying width should not be too large, otherwise the problem of average coating will occur. The purpose of spray gun operation should always be parallel to the surface of the object to be coated and perpendicular to the spraying fan. The running speed is unstable, the coating thickness is uneven, the running speed is too fast, the coating is too thin, and the running speed is too slow and the coating is too thick. All in all, when using spraying equipment, it is necessary to have a moderate intensity and a suitable distance, so that the desired coating effect can be obtained. After the construction, some finishing things need to be improved, the coating and the cleaning of the equipment , The remaining paint after use should be blocked and retained. This is a problem that needs attention.

The essentials of spray gun operation include: spray gun movement speed, trigger control, gun distance and gun holding posture, etc. The following is an explanation for everyone:

1. The moving speed of the spray gun.

During the spraying operation, the moving speed of the spray gun has a great influence on the painting effect.

1. If the manual spray gun moves too fast, the surface coating of the coated object will be thin, which will appear dry and thin, with poor leveling and roughness;

2. If the manual spray gun moves slowly, the coating film on the surface of the object to be coated must be very late, and it is easy to cause sagging.

3. The most ideal moving speed of the spray gun is that after spraying, the surface coating of the object to be coated is full, uniform and wet. This requires operators with a certain amount of spraying experience to control it.

2. Control of the trigger.

The spray gun is controlled by the trigger. The deeper the trigger, the greater the liquid flow rate. In the process of traditional electrostatic spraying equipment, the trigger is always squeezed, rather than half squeezed. In order to avoid the accumulation of paint sprayed at the end of each shot, the experienced painter should slightly loosen the trigger to reduce the amount of paint.

3. The orientation of the spray gun to the surface of the substrate.

The spray gun should be vertical to the surface of the substrate, or as vertical as possible. If the spray gun is a little skewed, the result will definitely cause the spray band to flow to one side, and the other side will appear dry and thin, lacking paint, which is very likely to cause a streak-like coating.

4. The distance between the spray gun and the surface of the substrate.

For siphon spray guns, the best working interval is 15~20cm. If the interval is too close, flow may occur, and the color may even be inconsistent with the expected when spraying metallic flash paint or pearl paint. If the interval is too far. If it exceeds 20cm, it may cause dry spraying or overspraying, which will worsen the leveling of the coating. If sprayed metallic flash paint, there may also be the possibility of color change. The pressure feed spray gun can be farther away from the substrate. Generally, the best interval is 20 to 30 cm. These are the principles that must be followed when spraying.

5. Hold a gun.

The spray gun is held by the palm, thumb, little finger and ring finger, and the middle finger and index finger are used to pull the trigger. Some painters work for a long time and change the way they hold the gun from time to time. Sometimes they only use the thumb and the palm with the little finger, and sometimes they use the ring finger to hold the gun. The middle and index fingers are used to pull the trigger. Electrostatic spraying equipment can relieve fatigue and improve work efficiency.
